Landscaping Maintenance Work Across Mission & the Fraser Valley

February has been a steady month for our landscaping maintenance team, with crews continuing to service both commercial and residential properties throughout Mission and the Fraser Valley.

On the commercial side, our team has continued regular maintenance work for larger sites such as Mission Junction and Ocean Trailer. These properties rely on consistent scheduling and dependable service year-round, and our crews have stayed on top of site cleanliness and overall property presentation throughout the winter season.

Residential Maintenance Services Through the Winter Season

Alongside our commercial work, we’ve continued providing maintenance services for residential properties across Mission and nearby communities. Ongoing winter maintenance helps protect lawns, garden beds, and landscape features while setting properties up for a smoother transition into spring.

Even during the colder months, staying ahead of debris, drainage issues, and general wear can make a big difference once the growing season begins.

Getting Ready for Spring Cleanup & Lawn Care Season

As we head toward early spring, our maintenance team is now preparing for spring cleanups, lawn mowing, and full lawn care services. This is one of the busiest times of year, and many clients are already booking ahead to secure their spot for the season.

If you’re planning ahead for:

  • Spring cleanups

  • Lawn mowing and lawn care

  • Ongoing residential or commercial landscape maintenance

Now is a great time to get in touch and pre-book your services.

Connecting with Homeowners at the Home Show

We also recently attended the Fraser Valley Home and Outdoor Living Expo at Abbotsford Tradex, where we had the opportunity to connect with homeowners, answer questions, and discuss upcoming landscaping plans for the year. It was great meeting members of the community and helping people think ahead to spring maintenance and outdoor care.

February Landscaping Tips: How to Prepare Your Property for Spring

February may still feel like winter, but it’s a key month for setting your landscape up for success once spring arrives. In Mission and throughout the Fraser Valley, the combination of cool temperatures, moisture, and occasional frost means a little attention now can prevent bigger issues later.

One of the most important February tasks is cleaning up debris. Fallen branches, leaves, and organic material left sitting on lawns or garden beds can trap moisture and lead to disease once temperatures warm. Clearing these areas now helps protect turf and allows soil to dry and breathe properly as spring approaches.

February is also a good time to check drainage and low spots around your property. Winter rainfall often reveals problem areas where water pools or flows toward foundations, walkways, or garden beds. Identifying these issues early makes it easier to plan solutions before spring growth begins.

For lawns, it’s best to avoid heavy foot traffic during wet or frosty conditions. Compacted soil can slow grass recovery and create bare patches that are harder to fix later in the season. If moss is present, February is a good time to note problem areas so they can be addressed once conditions are right in early spring.

Garden beds benefit from a light refresh this time of year. Removing dead plant material and lightly tidying beds helps reduce pests and disease while improving the appearance of your landscape. However, it’s still best to avoid aggressive pruning until the risk of hard frost has passed.

February is also an ideal time to plan ahead for spring landscaping services. Booking early for spring cleanups, lawn care, and maintenance ensures you’re scheduled when the season begins and helps avoid delays during peak demand.

Whether you manage your own property or work with a professional landscaping team, taking small, proactive steps in February can save time, reduce costs, and lead to a healthier, better-looking landscape in the months ahead.
