Dexter Weymann
CEO / OWNERDexter is the founder of Mission Custom Landscaping Solutions. He has been in the industry since he was 12 when he ran a small lawn cutting business in the Shuswap. Having the experience of running a small operation successfully for 5+ summers, he decided it was time to start honing his skills and learning the industry while being employed by someone else. The last two summers he has been working with another local landscaping company Terra Effects. He gained lots of great experience and ideas for running his own outfit and would still be working there if not for his entrepreneurial ambitions. For the past 3 winters and falls, Dexter has been working hard towards getting his Bachelors's Degree at UFV for business and is planning on getting a major in accounting and a minor in finance. He is very excited for this season and hopes you can benefit from Mission Custom Landscaping's services!
Rylan
Maintenance ManagerRylan is the Maintenance Manager for Mission Custom Landscaping and a massive part of the company. Prior to working here, he’s had 4+ years of experience renovating and sustaining customers lawns. He started his journey by becoming a part- time yard maintainer for his neighbour, before moving on to full yard/ patio renovations over multiple summers. He gained construction experience when working on the Best Western hotel extension over multiple months. Rylan also owned his own pressure washing business for 2 years, and learned lots about talking with customers and keeping everybody happy. He looks forward to working on your yards in the future!
Owen E
CMO & Construction TeamOwen brings hands-on landscaping and maintenance experience from his time as a groundskeeper at a golf course, where he worked on everything from precise trimming and turf maintenance to building durable cart paths. He joined MCL in October 2023 and quickly became an important part of the team, contributing to a wide range of installation and transformation projects. He is currently completing his BBA at Simon Fraser University with a concentration in Marketing and is now just months away from graduating. Alongside his academic work, Owen has taken on the role of Chief Marketing Officer for the company, where he manages social media and leads marketing efforts. He continues to work on the construction crew as well, with a strong focus on customer communication and client relations, helping ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish. His combination of field experience, marketing knowledge, and people skills makes him a valuable part of the company both on and off site.
Owen L
OperatorOwen Leary, owner of Leary Site Services, grew up in the trucking and excavation industry, with both his dad and grandpa owning businesses within the industry to this day. He started operating dozers and excavators at the age of 13 on large fill sites for his family. After graduating from high school, he took his excavation career to the pipeline where he operated dozers, excavators, and rock trucks all across northern British Columbia and Alberta for 3.5 years before starting his own business. Leary Site Services runs 2 mini excavators, 2 skid steers and a 5-yard dump truck. We've recently had the pleasure of working alongside Owen and Leary Site Services to operate any equipment we've needed to get the job done!
Jack
Construction TechnicianJack has been part of MCL since the early days, returning to the crew whenever his school and hockey schedule allowed. After completing his first year at the University of the Fraser Valley, he’s continued to be a major part of the team and is now one of the most experienced crew members at the company. With years of landscaping and construction experience, Jack has developed a strong eye for detail and takes pride in building high-quality outdoor spaces. From pergolas to full backyard transformations, his craftsmanship and work ethic consistently show in the finished product. Now working as a Construction Technician, Jack continues to be a dependable leader on site and a great worker who plays a big role in keeping projects running smoothly.
Aiden
Maintenance ForemanAiden joined MCL in September 2024, bringing two years of valuable maintenance experience from his time working at a golf course. His strong work ethic and attention to detail have made him an integral part of the team, particularly within the maintenance division. Aidan takes pride in keeping landscapes in top shape, ensuring every property looks its best. Always reliable, hard working, and eager to learn and take on new challenges, he's recently been promoted to maintenance foreman where he's continued to excel and provide value to the company!
Sam
Maintenance TechnicianSam is new to Mission Custom Landscaping, having joined us in April 2025, but has already proven to be a valuable member of the maintenance team. Sam currently plays Junior Hockey for the Mission City Outlaws and demonstrates a strong work ethic built from his hockey experience. He has landscaping experience from working with his dads landscaping company and his favourite jobs are residential property cleanups!
Owen Simpson
Construction ForemanThe 3rd Owen on our crew became a welcome addition to Mission Custom Landscaping in early 2025. Coming in with over two years of plumbing experience, he quickly became a key part of our irrigation services team. Growing up, he was always around yardwork, from mowing lawns to pruning trees and plants, which gave him a strong foundation for the landscaping industry. Since joining the company, he’s continued to grow his skills and has now advanced into a Construction Foreman role. He’s also trained as a skilled equipment operator and has become a huge part of the team and our day-to-day operations.
